- Benelli increases the prices of the Imperiale 400
- Second price hike within two months
- Rs 4,000 more expensive now
In a span of two months, Benelli India has increased the prices of its modern-classic offering, the Imperiale 400, for the second time. Fortunately, the margin of the recent hike is smaller than the one we witnessed in April, 2022. The Imperiale 400 is available in three different colour variants all of which are now Rs 4,000 more expensive than before. The latest colour-wise ex-showroom prices of the bike are mentioned below:
Silver: Rs 2,09,001
Red/Black: Rs 2,14,001
The Benelli Imperiale 400 mainly competes against the Royal Enfield Classic 350 which is unarguably the most popular offering in this segment. The entry-level Redditch trim of the bike is substantially cheaper than the Imperiale 400 with a price tag of Rs 1.90 lakh. However, the top-end Chrome (classic) model of the Classic 350 is more expensive at Rs 2.21 lakh. The Imperiale also faces competition from the Honda Hness CB350 and the Jawa Standard which start at Rs 2 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh, respectively.
The price hike hasn’t brought along any other change to the motorcycle. It continues to boast quintessential retro aesthetics with a circular design theme for most of its body panels and subtle chrome accents. The hardware package is quite basic with a double downtube chassis, spoke wheels, telescopic forks, and dual springs. Powering the motorcycle is a 374cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 20.7bhp and 29Nm of peak torque. The feature list comprises a halogen headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and dual-channel ABS.
