BGauss revealed the asking price for its latest electric scooter offering, the RUV 350. It is offered in three variants and we recently rode the top-spec model, the RUV 350 Max. Our first ride review of it is up on the site. But if you are planning to purchase it, then here are five things you should know.
Design
The BGauss 350’s design, although similar to that of other models in the brand’s portfolio, looks quite distinct when compared to some of its competitors in the market. It resembles the step-through two-wheeler that we see in the South Asian markets. BGauss offers the RUV 350 in five colours. It gets an LED headlight, metal body panels all over, and a tall stance, thanks to its large wheels.
Features
Along with LED illumination, the RUV 350 also gets a TFT but that is only for the EX and the Max variants. It includes smartphone connectivity, navigation, call notifications, multiple themes, document storage, ride statistics, cruise mode, hill hold, reverse mode, and regenerative braking.
Motor and Battery
Powering the BGauss RUV 350 is a 3kWh LFP battery linked to an in-wheel 3.5kW motor. The setup offers the e-scooter a top speed of 75kmph and a range of 120km. However, the results were slightly different in the real world.
Hardware
While the BGauss RUV 350 gets gaitered telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks, it has slightly unconventionally large wheels. The EV rides on 16-inch units wrapped in TVS tyres. However, these large wheels should come in handy on our broken roads. Its braking hardware comprises a front and rear drum brake setup.
Price
The asking price for the BGauss RUV 350 is set at Rs. 1.10 lakh, Rs. 1.25 lakh, and Rs. 1.35 lakh, for the 350i EX, 350 EX, and 350 Max, respectively. This puts the BGauss e-scooter in the same range as some of the other premium offerings such as the Ather 450, Ola S1 range, and the TVS iQube as well.
