- Official launch on 25 June
- It seems to be running 16-inch wheels
- Looks identical to the existing D15 e-scooter
Chakan-based electric two-wheeler maker, BGauss has unveiled its new electric scooter, the RUV350. The official launch is scheduled to take place on 25 June and this is likely to the brand’s flagship offering in terms of pricing.
BGauss is yet to reveal the specifications of the RUV350. However, the pictures of the product are out and they reveal a few things about it. The most noteworthy element is the wheels which look like 16-inch units, something that is unusual in scooters at present. The presence of larger wheels should make it easier for riders to tackle rough terrain and bad roads of which there’s no dearth in India. The rest of the hardware looks basic with elements like telescopic forks up front, dual springs at the rear, and a drum brake at both ends.
The scooter seems to have a sizeable footboard along with a luggage hook at the front. We are expecting the underseat storage space to be decent, if not outright roomy. Moreover, as is the norm these days, the lighting setup will be all-LED and the instrument cluster should be fully digital. All in all, the BGauss RUV350 seems to be more of a utilitarian and practical offering than a fancy one. While it looks almost identical to BGauss’ now-discontinued D15 electric scooter, we are expecting the RUV to boast some considerable differences.
