Big Bikes Special: Top 4 Superbikes tested

There is something about superbikes that gets motorcycle enthusiasts all hysterical. Sometimes it is the sheer awe that the superbike’s specification sheet can command while sometimes it is the outright charm of their aero-honed styling. Well, it is Friday and we decided to bring you a treat. We compiled a list of four amazing superbikes that had us truly impressed. All four are quite different from each other when it comes to their character, but nevertheless are one of the main characters of our fantasy world. Check them out below –

Honda CBR650F

Widely regarded as the ideal middleweight sports tourer, the Honda CBR650F is positioned as a multipurpose motorcycle which can take care of commuting, sport riding as well as long distance touring. The docile character and usability of the inline-four engine make the CBR650F a perfect motorcycle for someone looking to move up from the quarter-litre territory. Check out what our editor had to say about the Honda CBR650F.

Ducati 959 Panigale

While most big bike manufacturers took the decision to phase out their older models as an adherence to the Euro IV emission norms, Ducati decided to make their supermid bigger and more powerful. Meet the Ducati 959 Panigale. With the new Ducati 959 Panigale, Ducati’s so-called 'baby superbike' is now closer to the litre-class superbikes than it ever was. And we got a chance to ride this red monster in its natural habitat – a race track! Check out our detailed track review of the Ducati 959 Panigale.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R

Kawasaki took a long time to overhaul its halo superbike, but boy has it been worth the wait! The 2016 Ninja ZX-10R ticks all the right boxes when it comes to superbikes, and then some. Featuring some of the fanciest bit of tech wizardry bundled in a package that ‘you would sell your soul for’, this green beast from Japan is one of the most desirable machines on two wheels. Well, we couldn’t take this one to the race track but we settled for the next best place – Lavasa. Check out our first ride report of the 2016 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R over here.

Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R

One of the fastest accelerating machines on two-wheels, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R was conceived to defeat the legendary Suzuki Hayabusa. Superfast, ludicrously powerful and green, the Ninja ZX-14R would be quite the perfect counterpart for the Hulk. This behemoth might seem big and heavy, but the way it hauls its 270 kilogram weight around would leave an unaware bystander (or a rider for that matter) completely flabbergasted. Is it the ideal transcontinental touring motorcycle? Check out our first ride review of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R to know.
