Ducati’s most exciting product, the Panigale V4, will debut at the 2017 EICMA. But there’s another Ducati bike that might be unveiled at this famous show, a bigger Scrambler.
There were rumours about the launch of a new Scrambler 1200 floating around the internet around a year back, only to be quashed. But now it looks like a bigger Scrambler is going to become a reality soon. Ducati has announced the launch of five motorcycles this year. The 2018 Monster 821 has been unveiled to the world and there’s already much hype built for the Panigale V4. There’s a rumour about the enduro version of the Multistrada 950 doing the rounds. So that could be the third motorcycle. The Italian maker is also working on the Corse version of the Panigale 959 and that takes the overall number to four products.
The bigger Scrambler is rumoured to get a 1078cc L-Twin motor and might get the Scrambler 1100 brand name. The current Scrambler is powered by an 801cc motor which is known for its tractability and mid-range. It will be interesting to see how Ducati markets this bigger Scrambler. The report also suggests that this upcoming Ducati is bound to get bigger body proportions that will make it more appealing and have a better road presence.
We’re expecting Ducati to bring this Scrambler to India as well, as our country is one of the fastest growing markets for motorcycles.
