- Likely to get a 440cc engine
- Expected to be launched in March 2024
- Could be priced under Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom)
Hero MotorCorp is working on a bigger Xtreme naked roadster as a test mule was recently spied testing in India. The motorcycle was spotted alongside the new Hero Xpulse 210, which is expected to be powered by a Karizma XMR-sourced motor.
So, will the bigger Hero Xtreme too get a 210cc engine? Well, a closer look at the engine on both test mules reveals that the crankcase is different. Moreover, the naked roadster’s crankcase is slightly similar to the Harley Davidson X440’s engine casing. This hints that the roadster could be the new Hero Xtreme 440.
This is in line with our previous report of Hero working on a power roadster based on the X440 platform. Coming back to the test mule, the Xtreme 440 features a low-slung headlamp and muscular body panels. The motorcycle is seen to be running upside-down front forks and a monoshock at the back.
In terms of mechanicals, the new Hero Xtreme 440 is expected to be powered by the same 440cc, oil and air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that powers the Harley Davidson X440. On the X440, the motor produces 27bhp at 6,000rpm and a peak torque of 38Nm at 4,000rpm and is paired with a six-speed gearbox. We won’t be surprised if Hero offers a different state of tune on the Xtreme 440.
The new Xtreme 440 is expected to be launched in India in March 2024, and we expect it to be priced around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
