- Bimota KB4 gets retro racer styling
- Powered by a 1043cc inline-four engine
- To be available in limited numbers
Italian manufacturer, Bimota has confirmed through its social media accounts that it will globally unveil its KB4 motorcycle in April 2021. The motorcycle was expected to be shown in May this year but the schedule was disrupted due to the pandemic
Nevertheless, Bimota has also said that it would offer the KB4 in limited numbers worldwide with 20 bikes being allotted for the UK. As for the motorcycle, the Bimota KB4 is designed on the lines of the 1970 Bimota KB1 and hence sports the retro-looking bubble fairing that houses a round headlamp. While the overalls styling theme is retro, the LED lighting and aerodynamic vents in the fairing adds modernity to the KB4. Furthermore, the sleek tail section and muscular fuel tank give the upcoming Bimota the look of a modern sportbike.
Underneath its modern-retro attire, the Bimota KB4 uses a 1043cc, inline-four-cylinder engine borrowed from the Kawasaki Ninja 1000. While the unit on the Kawasaki produces 140bhp, Bimota hasn’t revealed the specs of the KB4 yet. Although going by spy images, we do know that the KB4 will feature top-spec suspension and brakes sourced from Ohlins and Brembo respectively.
And as tempting as the bike is expected to look, the Bimota KB4 will not be launched in India anytime soon.
