Aptener Mechatronics, a Bengaluru-based startup, has launched the BluArmor BluSnap2 cooler for full-face helmets at Rs 2,999. This is an accessory which can be mounted on the chin of a full-face helmet. While riding, it is useful for keeping the temperature inside the helmet low and for avoiding the deposition of fog on the visor due to breathing.
BluSnap2 is an upgraded version of the product which has been tweaked in terms design and features. It is smaller and, as claimed by the company, is 25 per cent lighter as compared to its predecessor. The BluSnap2 is said to have better airflow courtesy the new design of the vent and modular grille. Moreover, it consists of a fan which blows air through the replaceable filter. This filter is needed to be dunked in water for 10 seconds before the usage. The setup helps in defogging the helmet visor while riding. BluSnap2 is powered by a rechargeable battery which, after getting fully-charged, delivers around 10 hours of backup.
One can order the BluSnap2 helmet cooler from BluArmor’s official website and it is expected to be available at select helmet retail outlets shortly.
