- Delivered 1,000 units of the bike to date
- Officially launched in July this year
BMW Motorrad India has announced that it has delivered over 1,000 units of its entry-level supersport, the G310 RR, since its launch in July this year. Moreover, the festive season turned out to be favourable for the brand as it received around 2,200 bookings for the G310 RR in this period. Deliveries of these units will commence in India soon.
The G310 RR is the newest member of BMW’s smallest 310cc family which also comprises the G 310 R and the G 310 GS. It is based on the TVS Apache RR 310 and carries majorly the same styling, hardware, and engine, with subtle differences. While the bodywork is the same as the Apache, the G310 RR comes in unique colour options which include Black Storm Metallic; and Light White Uni, Racing Blue Metallic and Racing R paint scheme.
Powering the motorcycle is a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm of peak torque. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch. Riding on 17-inch alloy wheels, this baby beemer is suspended by upside-down forks and a monoshock. Unfortunately, Apache-like optional adjustable suspension isn’t available for this motorcycle. As for the braking hardware, it slows down by a single disc at both ends with dual-channel ABS.
In India, the prices of the BMW G310 RR start from Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom) and competes against the KTM RC 390 and the Kawasaki Ninja 300.
