- BMW C 400 GT maxi-scooter teased once again
- India launch expected early next month
- Unofficial bookings are already open
BMW Motorrad has teased the India arrival of its maxi-scooter, the C 400 GT, once again hinting that the official launch is just around the corner. As we had reported recently, select BMW dealers have also started accepting unofficial bookings for the maxi-scooter at a token amount of Rs 1,00,000.
Unlike the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 and the Aprilia SXR 160, which just have a maxi styling, the C 400 GT will be a proper maxi-scooter suitable for city as well as long-distance riding. Bestowing it with touring abilities are elements like a tall windscreen, a large and comfortable seat, dual footrest provision, and a potent engine.
Propelling the BMW C 400 GT is a 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 33bhp of power at 7500rpm and 35Nm of peak torque at 5,750rpm. The top speed of the scooter is rated at an impressive 139kmph. Some people will find it a bit heavy with a kerb weight of 214kgs. The list of features it packs is also comprehensive including ride-by-wire, ABS, keyless ignition, heated grips and seat, anti-theft alarm system, and Bluetooth instrument cluster.
Expect BWM to launch the C 400 GT in India early next month. While details about its pricing is not known yet, expect it to demand a heavy sum of money for its exclusivity.
