BMW Motorrad has unveiled the latest F450 GS Concept at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Expo 2025. This bike was first unveiled at the 2024 EICMA Show which was held in Italy late last year.
This adventure bike has been fully designed and developed by BMW Motorrad in Germany but it will be manufactured by TVS, its Indian partner.
Powering the bike is a 450cc, twin-cylinder engine which, BMW says, has been built from scratch. It produces around 48bhp and has been tuned to deliver punchy performance in the lower revs. In its official statement, BMW has also emphasised the compact dimensions and the light weight of the engine, which is courtesy of the usage of light materials like magnesium.
Similar to the engine, the chassis has also been developed from the ground up and the focus has been on making it agile, not just off-road but also on the road. The front USD suspension is fully adjustable while the rear shock absorber sports load-dependent damping. The kerb weight of the concept sits at just 175kg which facilitates it with an impressive power-to-weight ratio. It’s a typical BMW on the feature front with lean-sensitive ABS, configurable riding modes, and a 6.5-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
The German brand intends to make the production version of the bike very close to the concept. It will make the seat height more accessible and provide an option of cast aluminium wheels alongside the 19-17-inch cross-spoke wheel combination featured in the concept. The production version will be unveiled next year.
Once the production variant is launched, expect this bike to carry a price tag of around Rs. 4 lakh (ex-showroom).
