The BMW F 900 R is the latest addition to the German bikemaker’s India portfolio. Sporting a design inspired by the R 1250 R and an engine derived from the F 850 GS, the motorcycle is priced at Rs 9.90 lakh (ex-showroom). However, if you are looking for options at that price, there are three other bikes to consider.
The Triumph Bonneville T120 is a bike inspired by classic motorcycles. While its styling is reminiscent of the past, the ‘Bonnie’ is a modern motorcycle under its skin. It features electronic gizmos like traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, a slip-assist clutch, and ABS. Moreover, it is powered by a 1200cc, liquid-cooled motor that produces 79bhp and 105Nm. This modern-classic Triumph Bonneville T120 is priced at Rs 9.97 lakh.
Yet another classic inspired motorcycle in this list is the Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer which derives its styling from racer motorcycles of the 70s and 80s. The lowered handlebars, cropped fenders, race number plate as well as the Silver/Blue paint scheme complete its look. Powering the Scrambler Cafe Racer is an 803cc, L-twin motor that churns out 71.4bhp and 67Nm. Ducati has priced the motorcycle at Rs 9.78 lakh.
Using the same 803cc engine as the Ducati Scrambler Cafe Racer is the Desert Sled. However, the two motorcycles have a contrasting design language. The Desert Sled is an off-road-focused variant with long-travel suspension, secondary mudguard, knobby tyres, headlamp mesh guard, and switchable cornering ABS. The Italian bikemaker has priced the Desert Sled at Rs 9.93 lakh.
