Design

The new F 900 XR draws styling cues from the company’s litre-class ADV sports tourer, the S 1000 XR. The motorcycle comes equipped with sleek, twin-pod LED headlights at the front along with a semi-fairing design and an adjustable windscreen. The rear features a slim and short tail that aims to invoke its athletic nature. The BMW F 900 XR is available in two colour options – Light White and Style Sport Racing Red paintwork.

The Standard version comes equipped with features such as two riding modes (Rain and Road), anti-lock braking system (ABS), automatic stability control (ASC) and anti-hopping clutch. The Pro variant of the motorcycle receives additional features such as the Cruise Control, Gear Shift Assist Pro (quick shifter) and the Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment).

Hardware

The motorcycle is based on the bridge frame that uses the engine as the stressed member. The steel rear frame is bolted to the chassis. Shock absorption tasks are handled by upside-down telescopic forks at the front and a central suspension strut at the back. The Pro version, as mentioned above, features Dynamic ESA. Anchoring power comes from twin discs at the front and a single rotor at the back.
