BMW unveiled the adventure-touring motorcycles at the EICMA. Both bikes are based on the same new platform, however they have different capabilities. Here is the photo gallery of BMW’s newest F750GS and F850GS-
The bikes’ design is similar to their predecessors, however they get a redesigned fairing that is sharper.
The F750GS and F850GS also get a new LED headlamp setup that enhances the look of the bikes.
Both bikes also get a 6.5-inch TFT instrument console and the fuel tank is now placed in the conventional position rather than under the seat.
The bikes use a revised beam-type frame and tubular steel sub-frame with the engine as a stressed member.
The bikes use an 853cc parallel-twin engine. Power output on the F750GS is 75bhp while the F850GS churns out 93bhp.
While the F750GS is built for specifically for the road with alloy wheels and road biased tyres…
The F850GS gets spoke wheels shod with dual-purpose tyres, knuckle guards, fork-protectors, and a higher windscreen to make it off-road capable.
The bikes get ABS, cruise control, quickshifter, traction control, four riding modes with an additional ‘Enduro Pro’ mode on the F850GS.
Suspension duties are taken care of by 43mm upside down forks up front and a pre-load adjustable monoshock at the rear.
This electronic suspension features the Dynamic ESA which adapts according to the riding and road surface and also adjusts itself with the selected mode.
Braking is done by twin 305mm discs upfront and a 265mm single-disc at the rear.
With a growing demand for adventure-touring motorcycles in India, we can expect the bikes to arrive in India sometime next year.
