- Likely to be launched soon
BMW India has teased its upcoming adventure motorcycle offering, the F900 GS and the F900 GS Adventure. The brand has posted a bunch of teasers on its social media handles hinting at an imminent launch.
The BMW F900 GS range has been on sale in the international market for a while. Its specifications are already out and we know that it is powered by an 895cc, twin-cylinder engine that produces 105bhp at 8500rpm and 93Nm at 6750rpm. The motor is linked to a six-speed gearbox. BMW has loaded the F900 GS and its Adventure trim with features like multiple riding modes, power modes, traction control, ABS, a bi-directional quick shifter, and a large 6.5-inch colour TFT display.
The standard F900 GS and the Adventure trim differ in terms of their overall use case. The base trim is properly off-road oriented and has large spoke wheels with relatively little bodywork. In comparison, the Adventure variant is more touring-oriented as it gets a notably larger fuel tank as well as an adjustable suspension setup.
Given the number of teasers BMW India has posted in the last few days, we think the F900 GS range could make its debut very soon. Once launched it will rival the Triumph Tiger 900 and could be priced around Rs. 13 lakh (ex-showroom).
