BMW Motorrad India has bumped up the prices of its range including the F900 R and F900 XR.
To begin with, the F900 R now costs Rs 10.80 lakh; an increase of Rs 90,000 over the previous Rs 9.90 lakh price tag. On the other hand, the F900 XR is available in two variants- Standard and Pro that get a price hike of Rs 45,000 and Rs 90,000 each and are now priced at Rs 10.95 lakh and Rs 12.40 lakh respectively. (prices ex-showroom).
However, despite the substantial price hike, the BMW F 900 R with its streetfighter styling and the F 900 XR that gets a sports tourer bodywork remain the same mechanically. Both motorcycles are powered by the same 895cc, parallel-twin engine, although with varying power output. While the XR’s unit offers 99bhp and 90.8Nm, the R churns out 104bhp and 92Nm. The feature list on both motorcycles includes full-LED lighting, a Bluetooth-enabled instrument cluster, two riding modes- Road and Rain, ABS as well as a switchable traction control system as standard.
