The G 310 GS is BMW’s small-capacity adventure-touring motorcycle that can be used for intercity commutes and light off-roading. It carries a price tag of Rs 3.49 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). We recently got the chance to test the bike both on and off road. Here’s a detailed photo gallery of the BMW G 310 GS from the ride.
The G 310 GS’s styling has been heavily inspired from its bigger sibling, the R 1250 GS.
It sports the distinctive beak-like structure at the front that flows into the tank along with sharp tank shrouds.
The bike rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in dual-sport Metzeler Tourance rubber.
It offers a well-cushioned seat that makes long-distance touring more comfortable.
To add to its touring character, the G 310 GS gets an engine sump guard and luggage rack at the rear as standard.
The G 310 GS comes equipped with a conventionally-lit headlamp, tail lamp and turn indicators.
Its LCD instrument cluster displays basic information along with gear position, fuel gauge and a clock.
Powering the bike is a 313cc, water-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 33bhp and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The braking setup consists of a 300mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with a dual-channel ABS system that offer good bite and progression.
Suspension duties are carried out by 41mm inverted front forks that offer longer travel than the G 310 R and a preload-adjustable rear monoshock.
