- EMI plans announced
BMW Motorrad has confirmed that the BS6-compliant G 310 R and the G 310 GS would be launched in the Indian market on 8 October 2020. The Indian arm of the Bavarian two-wheeler brand had commenced the pre-bookings for its entry-level models in September 2020. The company has also announced EMI plans for the G 310 series.
The prices of the BS6-compliant G 310 R and G 310 GS models will be announced on 8 October. However, we already know that the BS6-compliant models will be priced competitively than their respective predecessors. The BS4-compliant G 310 R and G 310 GS were available at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom Delhi prices).
The updated models, as seen in several spy photographs, will receive minor styling upgrades along with a new LED headlight. Both models will retain the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled although the power and torque output numbers could be different from the BS4 motorcycles. The discontinued G 310 R and G 310 GS were tuned to produce 33bhp and 28Nm.
The BMW G 310 R will compete against the KTM 390 Duke while the G 310 GS adventure tourer will rival the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
