BMW Motorrad will update its Indian portfolio with the launch of the BS6-compliant G 310 R and the G 310 GS tomorrow. The pre-bookings for the entry-level models from the Bavarian brand commenced in September 2020. The company has also announced EMI plans for the G 310 series.
The upcoming motorcycles will feature minor upgrades over their respective predecessors. The updated model will come equipped with an LED headlight and LED turn indicators. Mechanical specifications will retain the 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that would produce 34bhp and 28Nm. The motor on the discontinued G 310 R and G 310 GS, for reference, produced 33bhp and 28Nm.
The prices of the BS6-compliant G 310 R and G 310 GS models will be announced at the launch event tomorrow. However, we know that the BS6-compliant models will be priced competitively than their respective predecessors. The BS4-compliant G 310 R and G 310 GS, for reference, were available at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh respectively (both ex-showroom Delhi prices).
The BMW G 310 R will rival the KTM 390 Duke while the G 310 GS adventure tourer will compete against the KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
