BMW G 310 RR India Launch: Top 5 Highlights

BMW Motorrad India has announced the launch of the G 310 RR at Rs 2.83 lakh. This fully-faired motorcycle, which rivals the KTM RC 390, will be sold in two variants – Standard and Style Sport. Here we list the top five highlights from the BMW G 310 RR India launch.

Variants

The new BMW G 310 RR will be sold in two variants – Standard and Style Sport. The difference between the two variants is limited to visuals only. The Standard version is available in Black Storm Metallic shade while the Style Sport variant gets Racing Blue Metallic with Racing Red colour. Everything else remains identical on both variants.

Styling and Features

The G 310 RR is a rebadged version of the TVS Apache RR 310. Thus, this new model from BMW Motorrad packs a twin-pod headlight, a full-fairing, clip-on handlebar, an 11-litre fuel tank, a step-up seat, 17-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, and a side-slung exhaust. The feature list, too, is identical to the TVS Apache RR 310 and the new BMW G 310 RR gets full-LED lighting, a five-inch colour-TFT display, ride-by-wire throttle, four riding modes (Track, Urban, Rain and Sport), and dual-channel ABS with rear wheel lift-off protection. Surprisingly, this motorcycle misses Bluetooth connectivity.

Engine

The mechanical specifications include a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, the motor produces 33.5bhp at 9,700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7,700rpm in Track and Sport modes. The output is lowered to 25.4bhp at 7,700rpm and 25Nm at 6,700rpm in Rain and Urban modes. The claimed top speed in Track and Sport modes stands at 160kmph while the Rain and Urban modes can achieve a maximum speed of 125kmph.
