BMW Group India has announced its best-ever half-year, quarter-year, and June sales in 2023 – for all three brands – BMW, Mini, and BMW Motorrad. In the first six months of this year, the Indian arm of the Bavarian manufacturer sold 4,667 motorcycles, marking an improvement of 50 per cent over the corresponding period last year. The two-wheeler sales were dominated by the company’s entry-level products, the G 310 series. This range includes three products – G 310 R, G 310 RR, and G 310 GS.
The made-in-India G 310 series contributed to 90 per cent of the overall sales. Meanwhile, other popular models in the company’s line-up were the S 1000 RR, R 1250 GS / GSA, and the C 400 GT. The company further added in its press statement that BMW Financial Services India played an instrumental role by providing customised and flexible financial solutions.
Notably, the two-wheeler maker has announced new colours for the G 310 series. These are expected to arrive in India very soon. The exact launch details, however, are not available yet. Apart from the updated 2024 G 310 models, BMW Motorrad India will also update its portfolio with the launch of the M 1000 XR very soon.
In other updates, TVS Motor Company is preparing the Apache RR310-based naked roadster for the Indian and international markets. The TVS Apache RR310 uses the same platform as the BMW G 310 range.
