BMW Motorrad is scheduled to launch the long due G310 R along with the G310 GS in India tomorrow.
The streetfighter G310 R is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 3.5 lakhs. Whereas, the G310 GS is expected to retail around Rs 3.7 lakhs. Both bikes are powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 34bhp and 28Nm of torque and is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The G310 R gets a streetfighter stance with 17-inch wheels on both ends wrapped in Michelin Pilot Street rubber. On the other hand, the G310 GS rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel shod with dual-sport Metzeler Tourance tyres. It also gets a longer travel suspension to boost its off-road abilities.
While the BMW G310 R will face competition from the KTM 390 Duke, the G310 GS’s biggest rival will be the Kawasaki Versys X-300 in India.
