- Available in new Racing Blue Metallic now
- Technical specifications remain unchanged
BMW Motorrad India has introduced a new colour option for its entry-level sportbike, the G310 RR. It is called the Racing Blue Metallic which sports blue as the primary colour with swanky red, white, and black decals running across the side fairing. This colour option will be sold alongside the existing white shade with M Sport graphics and the Cosmic Black 2 colour variant. The BMW G310 RR is priced at Rs. 3.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
The motorcycle remains unaltered in all other areas. It boasts bodywork almost identical to the TVS Apache RR 310 except for a few minor changes. However, the BMW misses out on many features that its TVS counterpart gets. The G310 gets full-LED lighting, a vertical colour TFT screen, ride by wire system, dual-channel ABS, and four riding modes which offer different levels of ABS intervention and throttle responses. With an 11-litre fuel tank, the motorcycle weighs 174kg (kerb).
Powering the G310 RR is a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 33.5bhp and 27.3Nm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch. Underpinned by a tubular steel trellis frame, the bike rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are suspended by non-adjustable USD forks up front and a rear monoshock. Braking is handled by a single disc at both ends with different diameters.
