- Style Sport colour sports BMW’s ‘M’ style livery
- Black Storm Metallic gets subtle white decals
- Prices start from Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom)
After teasing the G310 RR consistently over the last few weeks, BMW Motorrad has recently launched the motorcycle in India. With this bike, the brand has stepped into the small-size sportbike segment for the first time. It’s based on the TVS Apache RR310 that has been on sale in India for a long time. However, the G310 RR boasts a few distinct characteristics which include the availability of two new colour options.
The more eye-catchy colour trim of these is the Style Sport comprising a white base paint that is beautified by the brand’s signature ‘M’ style blue and red graphics on the fairing and tail section. On the other hand, there’s the more understated Black Storm Metallic colour option which dons glossy black paint all over with a dash of white on the fairing. While the black trim costs Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom), the more conspicuous white colour demands an additional premium of Rs 14,000.
Other aspects which are different from the Apache in the G310 RR include cheaper Michelin Pilot Street tyres, conventional round disc brakes, and a different layout and user interface for the TFT console. Furthermore, you don’t get adjustable suspension and race-spec footpegs and handlebar that are available as an option for the Apache RR310.
Powering the G310 RR is a 313cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 34bhp and 27Nm. It comes mated to a six-speed gearbox accompanied by an assist and slipper clutch. You also get access to four riding modes, Bluetooth connectivity, and a full-LED lighting setup.
