- BMW G310 RR India launch tomorrow, 15 July
- Powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder engine
- Expected to be priced around Rs 2.80 lakh.
BMW Motorrad is scheduled to launch the G310 RR in India tomorrow, 15 July. Now, as we know it, the motorcycle is based on the TVS Apache RR 310 but gets cosmetic changes and the BMW badging to set it apart.
The aggressively-styled bodywork is teamed up with full-LED lighting with projector headlamps and a distinctively shaped tail lamp too. While you are most likely to mistake it for the Apache, the G310 RR gets bold ‘BMW’ graphics on the tank to justify otherwise. It also sports colour schemes to match. There is the iconic white, blue and red combination as well as a blacked-out option too that comes with white graphics.
Powering the BMW G310 RR is the same mill as the one on the G310 R and G 310 GS- a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. This is capable of churning out 34bhp and 27.3Nm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox. Now, it is yet to be seen whether the BMW G310 RR will get the boat load of features and tech the TVS Apache RR 310 comes with.
Well that said, we can expect it to demand a premium over the TVS version and the streetfighter version that costs Rs 2.65 lakh, ex-showroom. With that reference, the new BMW G310 RR is likely to be priced around Rs 2.80 lakh. Stay tuned to BikeWale’s social media handles as we bring live updates from the launch tomorrow!
