BMW India is gearing up to launch the G310R in the Indian market. However, it looks like there’s another small BMW coming our way – an adventure.
If reports are to be believed, then we’ll see an adventure version of the G310R in the Indian market in the next couple of years. This motorcycle, which might called as the G310GS, is under development at BMW’s Germany R&D facility. Once ready, this adventure bike is expected to be manufactured in TVS’ Hosur plant, just like its naked sibling.
While there aren’t much details on this bike as of now, but we believe the G310GS is going to be a brilliant product, considering the fact that it’s coming from a manufacturer who has built the R1200GS. The German manufacturer has pioneered the adventure bike market worldwide and having a smaller version makes sense for developing markets like India.
We also know that KTM is readying an adventure bike based on the 390 platform, however, there’s no details on its official launch. Just like the RC and the Duke series, this upcoming KTM adventure will also be made at Bajaj’s Chakan facility and exported to the rest of the world. When the BMW G310GS comes to India, it is expected to be equipped well with features and should come at a price point that will help grow the Indian adventure bike segment.
Stay tuned to BikeWale as we get you more details from BMW.
