- BS6 BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS bookings open
- Booking amount stands at Rs 50,000
- Likely to be priced lower than their BS4 counterparts
BMW Motorrad has been actively testing the BS6-compliant iterations of the G 310 R and G 310 GS which hints that their India launch is in the offing. Interestingly, ahead of their official launch, select BMW dealers have started accepting bookings for the bikes at Rs 50,000. The dealers have also stated that the baby beemers will certainly be launched by the end of September with deliveries to commence in October 2020.
Spy shots of the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS BS6 have emerged multiple times, revealing the changes they will be bestowed with. Both bikes will come equipped with an LED headlamp, in place of the halogen bulb present in the previous models. The design of the headlamp cluster and side panels have also been revised to look sharper. Also, expect them to come in new colour options and sport refreshed decals.
Another obvious change will come in the form of a revised engine for BS6 compliance. The BS4 iteration of the motor is a 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine which churns out 33bhp and 28Nm. Following the BS6-bound alterations, these power figures might vary marginally. Moreover, the refinement levels and acceleration could also witness a change. As for the cycle parts, they are likely to remain unchanged.
Coming to the pricing, the BS6 models of the BMW G 310 R and G 310 GS are expected to be priced considerably lower than their BS4 trims which were pegged at Rs 2.99 lakh and Rs 3.49 lakh, respectively (both prices are ex-showroom).
