BMW is offering discount of up to Rs 40,000 and low interest finance schemes on purchase of the BMW G310R and the G310GS. The discount offered by BMW dealerships varies city-wise and it will be valid till 31 December 2018.
In Mumbai, the cash discount on both the entry-level BMW bikes is Rs 40,000. Resultantly, the G310R now costs Rs 3.38 lakhs and the G310GS is priced at Rs 4 lakhs (both prices are on-road, Mumbai). A similar discount is being offered by the dealership in Bangalore as well. Buyers in Delhi can avail a cash discount of Rs 25,000 on both the bikes. Moreover, BMW is offering 3.10 per cent interest rate finance scheme along with zero depreciation insurance at all dealerships across India. We contacted dealerships for information about the offers, however, BMW didn’t officially respond on it.
The BMW G310R is a naked roadster while the G310GS is its adventure-tourer version. Both bikes are powered by a 313cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that churns out 33bhp of power and 28Nm of torque. The unit is mated to a six-speed gearbox.
The G310R rides on 17-inch front and rear wheels while the G310GS, being an adventure bike, gets a bigger 19-inch front wheel. Braking on both bikes is handled by a 300mm disc with four-piston caliper on the front and a 240mm disc single-piston caliper at the rear. Suspension is taken care of by upside down front forks and monoshock absorbers at the rear.
The BMW G310GS rivals the Royal Enfield Himalayan while the G310R goes up against the KTM 390 Duke, Kawasaki Z250 and the Benelli TNT300.
