The title looks disappointing, but if reports are to be believed then the Indian market won’t see the launch of the BMW G310R this year.
The culprit behind this development is supply constraint. The G310R will be manufactured in India and will be exported worldwide. This means there will be a lot of components that will be made in India and it looks like the TVS-BMW alliance hasn’t been able to get the right set of quality in place. So for now, the official launch of the G310R has been pushed till March 2017.
Over the last couple of weeks, there has been lot of buzz around this motorcycle. We’ve reported about the test mules, we even wrote about the commencement of manufacturing at TVS’ Hosur plant, but this news is quite saddening. But we’re sure, this motorcycle is worth the extra wait.
Stay tuned and we’ll definitely bring you more information on the BMW G310R and yes, the TVS Akula too.
