According to an international source, the BMW G310R is still on course to launch this year in the UK and will be in dealerships by late November. BMW had previously said that the G310R was due to launch in the fourth quarter of this year however, now there is a specific month.
The motorcycle is also set for a number of international launches by the end of this year and will likely hit the Indian market around the same time.
The motorcycle is being manufactured at TVS’s Hosur plant in India and will be exported worldwide. The G310R has a 313cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine churns out 34bhp at 9500rpm and has a peak torque of 28Nm at 7500rpm. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. The bike has a BMW claimed top speed of 145kmph and a fuel efficiency of 36kmpl. However, when it was spotted testing earlier, the test rider of the bike said that it has a top speed of 160kmph and a fuel efficiency figure between 25kmpl to 28kmpl.
The BMW appears to be priced competitively internationally, being significantly cheaper than its closest rivals. There is still no information regarding the Indian launch date and pricing of the BMW G310R or its dealer/service network.
