BMW Motorrad India has introduced a new extended warranty program for its 300cc bike buyers. The new scheme is only valid for the BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS, and the G 310 RR. It is priced at Rs. 5,999 and is valid for up to five years regardless of the kilometres covered by the bike.
Under this scheme, owners can benefit from defect-related repair costs for the said period. This extended warranty period begins post the end of the standard warranty and is valid for 24 months. The latter is valid for up to three years after the purchase date.
However, to qualify for the new extended warranty, BMW says that buyers must operate their motorcycle appropriately and meet all the scheduled/recommended maintenance, inspection, and service obligations with BMW Motorrad Service Partners. Moreover, the offer is not valid for BMW motorcycles used for sporting events.
The claims can be reimbursed only until the package expires. Any repairs that are done before availing the warranty package will not be covered by BMW. Moreover, the brand will only cater to sudden mechanical or electrical failures that occur to the bike. Regular wear and tear of parts is not included in the package. There’s also a separate list of bits that aren’t covered in the warranty and it is listed on BMW’s official website.
