The K 1600 GTL is the most expensive BMW motorcycle one can buy in India, officially. While the German automaker also offers the more affordable version – the K 1600 GT – in the other markets, India just gets the GTL version. But the best part is the Indian customers have the option to choose from two versions of the K 1600 GTL – standard and pro. The former is priced at Rs 25.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and the latter at Rs 28.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The K 1600 GTL is all about travelling in comfort and luxury. And in order to do that, BMW has loaded this motorcycle with a host of features that will be help the rider during the long journey. Both the versions gets plenty of storage space through lockable panniers. There’s also a top case which has an integrated passenger seat rest. The windshield is electronically adjustable. The clutch and handbrake levers are adjustable too. Other features like riding modes, one-key ignition system, adjustable centre stand and slipper clutch are also available in both versions.
The pro model which is almost Rs 2.6 lakh more expensive gets some addition gizmos. It is equipped with keyless start, Gear Shift Assist Pro, central locking system, LED fog lamps, anti-theft alarm system and a reverse gear. There’s also adaptive headlight, daytime running light (DRL), tyre pressure control and hill start control.
