- G 310 R and G 310 GS lead the sales chart
- BMW Financial Services India played an instrumental role
- Updated G 310 series products currently undergoing test
BMW Motorrad India ended Q1 of Calendar Year 2020 on a positive note. The Indian arm of the Bavarian two-wheeler manufacturer sold a total of 1,024 motorcycles during the period, registering a 71.5% growth over the corresponding quarter last year. The charts were led by the company’s entry-level models, the G 310 R and the G 310 GS, which contributed a share of over 80% in the yearly sales.
The company is currently testing the updated iterations of the G 310 R and the G 310 GS. The motorcycles were recently spotted during their test runs, and the spy photographs revealed updated hardware such as full-LED lighting and the revised design.
Apart from the G 310 duo, the company said that products such as the R 1250 GS / GSA, F 750 / 850 GS / 850 GSA and the BMW S 1000 RR were also favourite among motorcycle enthusiasts. The company added in its press announcement that the BMW Financial Services India played an instrumental role in facilitating sales performance during the challenging market conditions.
In other updates, BMW Motorrad has also announced that it will not participate in this year’s INTERMOT and EICMA motorcycle shows.
