BMW Motorrad has unveiled the 2015 version of its most famous sports tourer, the K1300S. Interestingly, this motorcycle was rumoured to be phased out from the 2015 line-up. But the company revealed the motorcycle, in a special avatar, making us believe that this could be the last model.
The German manufacturer has updated the 2015 version with the help of high performance parts. It has equipped the motorcycle with HP footrests for both, rider and passenger, HP wheels and an Akrapovic silencer as standard. Just like every other BMW motorcycle, the 2015 K1300S gets ABS. The bike is available with three colour options – black storm metallic, light white and lupine blue metallic.
Mechanically, the K1300S remains unchanged. It is powered by the 1293cc in-line four-cylinder water-cooled engine that produces 175bhp at 9,250rpm and maximum torque of 140Nm at 8,250rpm. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox that transfers power to the real wheel via a shaft drive. The top speed of this motorcycle has been electrically limited to little over 200kmph. This motorcycle will be on sale from August 1, for a price tag of $27,100 (Rs 16.25 lakh).
