BMW Motorrad has commenced the deliveries of the newly launched R 1250 GS BS6 in the Indian market. The company had announced the launch of the motorcycle in our markets on 8 July, 2021. The flagship adventure tourer from the German manufacturer is available in two options in the Indian market – R 1250 GS Pro and R 1250 GS Adventure Pro.
The BMW R 1250 GS Pro is available at Rs 20,45,000 while the R 1250 GS Adventure Pro carries a relatively higher price tag of Rs 22,40,000. The Adventure variant comes with a larger fuel tank and tubeless tyre-compatible wire-spoke wheels.
Standard features on both variants sold in the Indian market include full-LED lighting, an adaptive headlight, keyless ride, heated grips, a Bluetooth-enabled TFT colour display, traction control system, adaptive cruise control, ABS Pro, three ride modes (Eco, Road, and Rain), hill-start control, and a USB charging socket as standard.
Mechanical specifications are identical on both variants of the R 1250 GS series. The adventure tourer range uses a BS6-compliant, 1,254cc, air/liquid-cooled, flat-twin motor that produces 134bhp of maximum power at 7,750rpm and 143Nm of peak torque at 6,250rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox.
