BMW Motorrad India has updated its product portfolio with the launch of the new R 1250 RT road-biased luxury tourer motorcycle. This product from the Bavarian manufacturer, which is priced at Rs 23,95,000, is available in four colours – Alpine White, Option 719 Mineral White Metallic, Style Sport (Racing Blue Metallic), and Style Triple Black.
The two-wheeler arm of the brand says that this tourer benefits from aerodynamic advancements along with a new fairing and a full LED headlamp. The motorcycle is powered by the tried-and-tested twin-cylinder boxer engine that packs BMW ShiftCam technology. The 1,254cc boxer engine gives a maximum output of 136hp at 7,750rpm and a peak torque of 143Nm at 6,250rpm. The company claims a 0–100kmph acceleration in 3.7 seconds while the top speed is rated at 200kmph.
The feature list includes a luggage rack, pannier cases, heated grips and seat, and an adjustable windscreen. The electronic rider aids include traction control, ABS, steering stabiliser, active cruise control, hill hold control, and multiple riding modes. Lastly, the cockpit comprises a Bluetooth-enabled 10.25-inch colour TFT display.
This motorcycle from BMW Motorrad India rivals the likes of Harley-Davidson Electra Glide in the Indian market. The deliveries of the new R 1250 RT have already commenced in India.
