BMW Motorrad is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its first motorcycle, the R 32 with two, limited-edition models. Previously, we brought you a detailed image gallery of the BMW R nineT 100 Years edition. This time, we have shortlisted the most beautiful and detailed image of the BMW R 18 100 Years edition.
Similar to the R nineT 100 Years edition, this motorcycle, too, uses the same specifications as the standard R 18. Thus, the R 18 100 Years continues to use BMW Motorrad’s largest displacement boxer-twin engine that makes a maximum output of 90bhp.
However, this version is distinguished from the standard motorcycle through its unique paint theme. The 100 Years edition gets a Classic Chrome finish that combines black paintwork with high-gloss chrome surfaces, white double lining, and a 100 Years badge.
Further, Classic Chrome treatment is also seen on the rear wheel cover in combination with white double lining. Then, the front wheel cover and the side covers are painted in black along with a white double lining on the front mudguard.
The Option 719 seat brings a dual-tone combination of black and oxblood with diamond embossing blends.
The motorcycle also gets a galvanic surface coating on the handlebar fittings, gearshift and foot brake levers, handlebar clamps, handlebar weights, mirrors, brake master cylinders, brake calipers, engine casing covers, cylinder head covers, and intake manifold trims.
Another feature of the BMW R 18 100 Years is the chromed Akrapovic silencers with perforated tailpipe trims. Meanwhile, the feature list includes Headlight Pro with adaptive turning light, reversing aid, electronic cruise control, and heated grips.
The optional equipment includes an anti-theft alarm system, pillion package, running boards, Hill Start Control, lockable fuel filler cap, and power reduction.
