BMW Motorrad India has announced the launch of the limited-edition R nineT 100 Years edition in our market. This limited-edition motorcycle, which celebrates the company’s 100th year, has been priced at Rs 24,00,000 (ex-showroom, India) and the bookings have commenced at dealerships across India.
BMW R nineT 100 Years Edition: Styling Upgrades
The BMW R nineT 100 Years edition will be limited to just 1,923 units worldwide. This model gets a special paint theme that is combined with several chrome elements. The fuel tank, for example, combines black paint with chrome and white double lining. Further, it also gets knee pads and the '100 Years' badge. Meanwhile, this motorcycle gets a seat cowl with a chrome finish at the back and the rider seat features a dual-tone combination of black and oxblood for an exclusive look.
BMW R nineT 100 Years Edition: Additional Components
The unique styling is carried to the front wheel cover as well and it is painted black along with a white double lining. The styling is further enhanced with numerous black components. Then, the components from the Option 719 include the 719 Classic wheels with black anodised rim rings and the Option 719 Shadow milled parts package that includes milled cylinder head covers, engine housing covers, seat holders, and an oil filler plug. Further, the Option 719 Shadow II milled parts package consists of adjustable hand levers and a footrest system, pillion footrests, expansion tank covers, and handlebar end mirrors.
BMW R nineT 100 Years Edition: Specifications
The changes over the standard version are limited to styling upgrades. Meanwhile, this limited-edition motorcycle continues to use the same air/oil-cooled boxer-twin engine as the standard motorcycle. This motor is tuned to deliver a maximum output of 107bhp at 7,250rpm and a peak torque of 116Nm at 6,000rpm. The top speed of this BMW motorcycle is rated at over 200kmph. It boasts an 18-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 221kg. The hardware comprises upside-down front forks, rear mono-shock, twin front discs, and a single rear rotor. On the other hand, the feature list on this motorcycle includes full-LED lighting, a USB charger, an adaptive headlight, Riding Modes Pro, heated grips, and cruise control.
