The R nineT Racer is the latest addition to BMW's R nineT range that includes the R nineT Pure and R nineT Scrambler. The Racer which sports a cafe racer inspired design is priced at Rs 17.3 lakhs. Here is the photo gallery of the R nineT Racer straight from the 2017 India Bike Week-
The R nineT Racer features a half-fairing that is mounted to the frame which houses the vintage looking round headlamp.
To accentuate its 70's style cafe racer design, the bike gets a single seat along with a rear seat cowl.
It gets the same aggresive riding position as the early track racers with low-slung clip-on handlebars and rear set footpegs.
BMW has managed to keep the classic look with the twin-pod analogue instrument cluster which also house small digital displays.
The R nineT Racer sports a complete neo-retro look thanks to the vintage BMW Motorsport colours.
The 1170cc air-cooled twin-cylinder boxer engine produces 110bhp and 116Nm of torque.It is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final shaft drive.
Suspension duties are taken care of by 43mm conventional telescopic forks up front and a preload adjustable monoshock at the rear.
Stopping power comes from twin 320mm discs and Brembo calipers upfront and a 265mm single disc for the rear.
The R nineT Racer's electronic package includes ABS as standard and BMW’s ASC (Automatic Stability Control) traction control as an option.
