- BMW R12 nineT to be launched in second-half of 2023
- Could get a 1200cc boxer engine
- Styling similar to R nineT
BMW Motorrad has officially teased the existence of an all-new model called the R12 nineT. The motorcycle will be the successor to the R nineT.
By the looks of it, the R12 nineT retains the retro styling of the R nineT with a classic looking fuel tank that comes with knee recesses. Even the side panels hark back to BMW’s motorcycles of the ‘70s. It also comes fitted with a single-sided dual-exhaust with the LED tail lamp integrated into the seat. The BMW R12 nineT also comes with LED headlamp and turn indicators too.
While the design and styling hasn’t strayed away much from the R nineT, the R12 is expected to comes with a new 1200cc, boxer-twin engine that will feature a redesigned intake and exhaust. That said, BMW has brought in the announcement of the R12 nineT just in time to celebrate its 100 Years of BMW Motorrad and the ten-year anniversary of the BMW R nineT.
And since this is just a teaser, BMW hasn’t revealed full details although we can expect the motorcycle to be launched in the second half of 2023 in global markets. It could also make its way to India in limited numbers by the end of the year.
