- 2021 R1200, K1600 range unveiled
- Gets new features, paint schemes
BMW Motorrad has revealed the 2021 variants of some of its motorcycle range. A few days ago, it had unveiled the 2021 S1000RR and the S1000XR.
The R1200GS has received Euro 5 certification making it a 2021 model. Along with the engine update, some features have been updated too. The rider can disengage the ABS anymore. The bike is also now available in a new paint scheme ‘Austin Yellow’. A few more accessories have been added for this bike. Its semi-faired sibling, the R1200R gets the same update. It also gets a new paint scheme which goes by the name ‘Mineral Grey Metallic’.
The entire K1600GT touring range have been given some updates. The K1600GTL a new paint scheme, gets standard reversing assistance, adaptive cornering lights, TPMS and DRLs. The K1600GTL gets the same features as the K1600GT but also gets an option of engine protection bars in the comfort package. The K1600B bagger also gets new TPMS, DRLs and adaptive lights. The comfort pack now includes Shift Assistant Pro quick-shifter, keyless start, central locking and an alarm.
The Indian market will get these models later this year and are likely to be asked a bit more premium than the current models.
