BMW recently unveiled the R1250 GS which is likely to arrive on Indian shores early next year. Here are the comprehensive details of the R1250 GS in pictures.
The BMW R1250 GS hasn’t changed much visually and looks similar to the previous model.
It is offered in three variants; standard, Exclusive and Rallye. The base model is available in two colour schemes- blue/grey and black/grey.
The R1250 GS Exclusive sports a black paint job with gold highlights along with black front forks, drivetrain, gold calipers and redesigned radiator shrouds.
Meanwhile, the R1250 GS Rallye gets the BMW Motorsports colours of white/blue/red along with gold rims and spoke wheels, a white frame and a flat single seat.
However, the biggest change on the bike is the new 1254cc, boxer twin engine that produces 136bhp and 143Nm of torque.
It also gets the ShiftCam technology, which is an upgraded version of the variable valve timing system used by other manufacturers.
BMW is now offering a Bluetooth-enabled, 6.5-inch TFT display as well as two modes- Rain and Road, a traction control system and hill start control as standard.
It is also offering Dynamic Traction Control, ABS Pro, Hill Start Control Pro and Dynamic Brake Assist as an optional package.
We can expect the BMW R1250 GS to be launched in India with a premium of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 2 lakhs over the current model.
