BMW Motorrad has announced the 2022 updated model of the R18 and R18 Classic for Germany. The cruiser motorcycle will be updated both in terms of cosmetics as well as mechanicals. The company has also announced that the 2022 iteration will replace the first edition model in the country. Customers will be able to order the new model from all BMW Motorrad dealers from August 2021.
The updates on the modern classic motorcycle include three new colour options: Mars Red Metallic, Manhattan Metallic Matte and Option 719 Galaxy Dust Metallic/Titanium Silver2 Metallic and a New Option 719 design Aero package that includes cylinder head covers and front cover made of brushed aluminium.
The updates further include an Option 719 seat, different placement for the lower luggage holder (R18 Classic only), reverse assistance coupled with a drive train of Option 719 Metallic Black colour variant, Option 719 Aero and Icon wheel set, optional chrome and selectable lination for Black Storm Metallic and Mars Red Metallic colour options.
BMW has priced the R18 at Euro 20,950 (Rs 18.53 lakh) and the R18 Classic at Euro 23,250 (Rs 20.56 lakh) in the German market. While the company already offers the R18 in India, we expect it to announce the 2022 updated model soon in the country.
