- BMW R18 touring variant in the works
- To get cosmetic revisions
- Could be launched in India a few months after the global unveil
BMW Motorrad has been spotted testing a touring variant of the R18 cruiser which was recently launched in India.
While it retains the overall design silhouette of the standard model, the touring variant gets cosmetic revisions to serve its purpose and set it apart. To begin with, it gets a large windscreen and the LED headlamp is flanked by a pair of full-LED auxiliary lights. Furthermore, the R18’s signature bulbous exhausts have been swapped for sleeker and regular-looking units.
Besides these changes, the R18 touring seems to remain the same. So, it offers an upright riding position thanks to the high-set handlebar and neutral footpegs. It will come powered by a 1802cc motor that is capable of churning out 91bhp of power and 157Nm of torque and comes mated to a shaft drive.
While BMW Motorrad could unveil the R18 touring variant sometime in 2021. And we can expect the motorcycle to make its way to India a few months after its global unveil.
