BMW reveals special edition S1000RR in Tyco livery

BMW has unveiled a special edition S1000RR specifically for the UK market. To be produced in a limited run of just 75 units, this S1000RR race replica comes wrapped in the official Tyco livery of BMW’s BSB (British Superbike) Championship race bike.

This special edition bike not only gets the livery of the factory team but also comes decked up with a host of performance parts. It gets dynamic damping control, dynamic traction control, forged wheels, Akrapovic slip-on canister and gear shift assist pro system. All these performance enhancements make this special edition bike the most extreme S1000RR that you can buy in the UK. Apart from these, BMW is also offering adjustable rear sets from the HP4, LED indicators, heated grips, alarm and a paddock stand along with the motorcycle.

While BMW has previously acknowledged that it has no intentions of getting into MotoGP anytime soon, the German manufacturer does take production model-based racing championships quite seriously. It has been an active participant in the BSB Championship and road racing championships ever since it launched the first-generation S1000RR back in 2009. Introducing such limited edition race replica motorcycles is a really smart marketing strategy for keeping the enthusiasts happy. This BMW S1000RR limited edition has been priced at GBP 21,240 (Rs 20.25 lakh) in the UK market.  Owners of this motorcycle will be treated to a full hospitality package at a BSB Championship round in 2016.
