- Fully-faired BMW 310cc bike launch soon
- Will be powered by the same 312cc engine
- More details on 15 July
BMW Motorrad is finally set to launch a fully-faired motorcycle based on the TVS Apache RR 310. The manufacturer released a video teasing the motorcycle and its possible launch date- 15 July 2022.
Now, the teaser reveals the motorcycle’s LED tail lamp which is the same as the one on the Apache RR 310. Moreover, we expect BMW’s version to just be a rebranded iteration of the Apache. Hence, the same aggressive styling and bodywork would continue, but, with BMW badging and a new name. The bike will also get new paint schemes to differentiate it from the TVS Apache as much as possible.
That said, it would be interesting to see if all the features and tech from the Apache RR 310 make it to the BMW faired motorcycle. Going by the past, BMW Motorrad has been second in line when it comes to introducing new features on the 310 line-up. Nonetheless, it will come powered by the same 312cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is good for 34bhp and 27.3Nm. This motor comes with a slipper and assist clutch and six-speed gearbox.
With everything said, the new BMW 310 is expected to be priced at a premium over the TVS Apache RR 310 that costs Rs 2.65 lakh, ex-showroom. And since the naked G310R also costs the same, we can expect the faired BMW to sport a pricing of around Rs 2.80 lakh. As for competition, it will go up against the TVS Apache RR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the KTM RC390 as well.
