-BMW had stopped participating in 2021
- Expect to see the new G 310 R and G 310 GS at the show
-EICMA is one of the most important shows with Hero and Royal Enfield participating as well
BMW Motorrad is making a comeback to EICMA in 2024, after a gap of three years. The announcement was made by the CEO, Markus Flasch. BMW, back in 2021, had decided to stay away from the EICMA and other International motor shows. This came as a surprise to many as BMW was known to showcase some of its key motorcycles, new as well as updates, at the EICMA.
In all likelihood, BMW Motorrad must be cooking up some special and extremely important motorcycles that require a platform as big as the EICMA to be revealed to the world. Speculation is rife that the G 310 R and the G 310 GS are due for an update and we could see the new bikes on display at the EICMA. BMW is also working on a number of technologies such as radar-based assistance systems in motorcycles and flexible wings on its flagship superbike, the S 1000 RR. We could see them being showcased as well.
The EICMA is held in Italy and attracts a large number of visitors. Think of it as a show where every motorcycle manufacturer worth its salt is present. Indian companies like Royal Enfield and Hero MotoCorp have also been regularly participating in the EICMA, showcasing interesting concepts as well as new motorcycles that are meant to be sold in International markets.
The EICMA 2024 will be held from 5-10 November in Milan. We expect to see not only BMW but also manufacturers like KTM, Royal Enfield, Hero, and Kawasaki display a variety of all-new bikes.
