BMW Motorrad has unveiled the ’40 Years GS’ special edition models of its adventure motorcycles, the F750GS, F850GS and the F850GS Adventure. These bikes will join the company’s 2021 line-up and commemorate the completion of 40 years of existence of the iconic GS family.
Representing the exclusivity of these bikes is the special paint scheme which is a combination of black and yellow shades. While black is the base colour, certain elements like the knuckle guards and seat sport yellow shade. Moreover, the spoke wheels of the F850GS and F850GS Adventure are finished in gold for a more premium appeal.
The 40 Yeas GS special edition models also get features like USB charging port, cornering ABS and traction control as standard. Additionally, the F850GS standard and Adventure variants get slightly taller windscreen which is adjustable while the high level GPS mount is also a part of the package.
As for the cycle parts and engine, these motorcycles remain changed in these aspects. All of them are powered by a common 853cc parallel-twin motor. On the F850GS base and Adventure trims, it churns out 92.5bhp at 8,250rpm and 92Nm at 6,250rpm. On the other hand, it is tuned to deliver 75.3bhp at 7,500rpm and 83Nm at 6,000rpm on the F750GS.
In the international markets, the ’40 Years GS’ edition of the BMW F750GS, F850GS and F850GS Adventure will be available from September this year. India launch is likely to take place at a later stage.
