- Limited to 1,923 units for each model
- In a bid to commemorate 100 years of BMW Motorrad
- Equipped with cosmetic updates and accessories
BMW has unveiled limited editions of its R18 and the R nineT retro offerings. Both models are dubbed the 100-Year Edition and commemorate the Bavarian brand’s century. Each will be limited to just 1,923 units and the launch is slated for 2023.
The changes to both bikes are cosmetic and the design, mechanical bits, and features remain unchanged. The R nineT’s fuel tank is covered in black and chrome with a finishing touch of twin white strips. It also gets tank grips, pin strips on the front fender, and a two-tone rider seat. The fork tubes and air intake have been blacked out. Even the cylinder head covers are milled and the R nineT 100 Year also gets bar end mirrors and adjustable levers. BMW is also offering optional accessories like heated grips, cruise control, and an alarm system.
On the other hand, the R18 100 Year Edition also gets the same lick of paint as the R nineT. The two-tone seat is covered in red and black and the tank gets a 100-year badge. Overall, the cruiser is loaded with chrome including Akrapovic silencers. Other options like cornering headlights, reverse gear, cruise control, and more are too on offer.
Even though the 100-Year Editions are limited to 1,923 units each, we expect BMW Motorrad to offer a handful in India as well.
