Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India have released a mobile app that lets you explore their newly launched motorcycle – the CB Hornet 160R. The app, also named ‘CB Hornet 160R’, is available on Google Play Store for Android users (http://bit.ly/CBHornet160R-App). The application allows you to explore all aspects of the motorcycle including technology, features, specifications and colours. You can also get a price quote from the two variants of the motorcycle based on your location. At the moment, the bike is available for bookings only via the app – an attempt on Honda’s part to capture the social media generation.
If the mood takes you, you can also book the motorcycle for a booking amount of Rs 5,000 on the app right away. The booking process asks you to select the variant, colour and the dealer along with your personal information like phone number and email ID. It then takes your bank details through a payment getaway for a secure transaction.
The CB Hornet 160R is a premium naked motorcycle from the Japanese manufacturer and has a 162.71cc engine that develops a maximum of 15.44bhp of power at 8500rpm and 14.76Nm of torque at 6500rpm. It is available in two variants – Standard and CBS. While both get disc brakes in the front, the latter features the Honda’s proprietary Combi-Brake-System that ensures safe braking.
The CB Hornet 160R is priced at Rs 84,400 (ex-showroom Delhi) and is available in five colours – orange, red, white, blue and black.
The bike is also one of the first to comply with the BS-IV norms, well before the deadline – April 2017. So if you’re planning on buying the bike, you can rest assured that it is a good investment.
